Overview

The Nolan X804 RS Ultra Carbon is the new racing helmet from the Italian brand Xlite/Nolan. It’s the successor to the popular X803RS and has been tested according to the new ECE22.06. The helmet has been renewed in a number of areas, such as the outer shell, aerodynamics, ventilation, inner lining and the visor. The helmet is made for the sporty rider and suited for higher speeds. This makes it an ideal racing helmet that can compete with the best full-face helmets both on the track and on the road. The outer shell of the X804 RS is made of carbon. Carbon has the main benefit that it’s extremely strong, meaning less material is needed to reach the desired protection level. This results in a light helmet. The X804 RS U.C. comes in 6 sizes and 4 outer shell sizes. Four outer shell sizes is excellent. This ensures that the helmet is not only safe, but also looks nice around the head thanks to its compact shape. Furthermore, the X804 has 2 inner shells with multi-density EPS. This has the great advantage that the helmet offers excellent protection against different types of impact. This gives the helmet excellent impact absorption. The 804 also has a new ventilation system, the so-called RAF (Racing Air Flow). Especially with racing helmets, it’s important that the head stays cool during intense racing conditions. This RAF system is optimized for a tucked position on a sportbike. It ensures that sufficient cool air enters and the hot air is removed. The helmet is equipped with air intakes on the forehead, a top vent and a chin vent. The hot air is released through the exhaust at the back and under the spoiler. This has resulted exceptionally good ventilation, which keeps you focused on the road and on the track. It’s also equipped with a breath deflector to prevent condensation on the visor.
